Subwoofer - Whether its for movies or Hifi the SVS SB 1000 Pro will add an outstanding performance that is usually unheard of at this price and size. App control allows you to customise your sound without having to leave the sofa.

OUR VERDICT - Okay, so many of you won't have heard of SVS. We don't blame you as to be honest we only stumbled across them a few years ago whilst reading some forum posts. After reading the posts and looking at the test results ( Some of these forums offer extensive testing ) we decided to buy an SVS PB 13 Ultra. When it arrived I was not home, my wife rang offering some rather dark swear words which basically interpreted meant "Get this 70kg box on a pallet out of our hallway as its blocking the stairs" Now that subwoofer was a beast, in fact it was a scary beast but to be honest it was too large for our average UK lounge. This was replaced with a dual SVS SB12 NSD setup, much more friendly and wife approved.

Anyway, that's enough about us, the whole point of that story was to explain how SVS make a subwoofer for even the most dedicated of home cinema enthusiasts. Here we are talking about the SVS SB1000 Pro which follows on from the immensely enjoyable and compact SB 1000.

Let's get one thing straight, the SVS SB 1000 Pro is nothing short of extraordinary in fact the only thing I can compare to is a mini nuclear bomb, no honestly it is that powerful and in fact better looking than the bomb. The way in which this little 13 inch cube with a 12 inch driver can beat your chest, rattle the walls and flap your trousers is quite mind boggling. Not only can the SB 1000 Pro let its hair down when required, it can also tread with a delicacy that is normally unheard of at this price point making it a star player for music too.

Rather than boring you with our obvious love of SVS subwoofers why not read below about the specs and features. Now that we have introduced you to SVS all that is left to say is that we believe their performance to price ratio is that good that all other subwoofer manufacturers should take note. - Highly Recommended.

Style Meets Substance

Breathtaking bass and stunning musicality from a compact 13-inch enclosure with state-of-the-art features that redefine subwoofer performance at their price and beyond. A true powerhouse with legendary pedigree that punches well above its class, the SB-1000 Pro subwoofer features a 325 watts RMS, 820+ watts peak power Sledge amplifier with fully discrete MOSFET output and sophisticated 50 MHz DSP for pristine, room-energising bass. A reimagined 12-inch high-excursion driver takes control of a room with heart-pounding, tonally accurate low end for more immersive listening experiences. Also includes SVS subwoofer DSP smartphone app for convenient tuning and control.

WHAT THEY SAY
The SVS SB-1000 Pro is a cracking entry-level subwoofer that not only delivers an impressive performance, and affordable pricing, but also sports features usually only found on more expensive mid-range models.

Sound Components

Maximising every available square-inch of surface area, SVS packed a high-excursion 12-inch driver and dual ferrite motor assembly into an acoustically inert, 13-inch cabinet. Thermal management is critical when dealing with such a powerful amplifier and motor in a relatively compact sealed cabinet. SVS engineered a vented pole piece and efficient high-power voice coil to keep the SB-1000 Pro subwoofer cool without impacting performance. Multiple innovations enhance performance within a sealed cabinet enclosure, all aimed at generating subterranean deep bass extension and seismic output while remaining accurate and controlled.

Conservatively rated at 325 watts RMS, 820+ watts peak power, the Sledge STA-325D amplifier maximises the full potential of the 12-inch driver with effortless power and precise control. The innovative design combines the efficiency of a Class D amplifier with the ability to generate colossal current through the fully discrete MOSFETs for outstanding real-world subwoofer performance at all drive levels, in any room, allowing seamless integration with any home theatre or stereo speaker system.

App Control

The most convenient way ever to control volume, access multiple DSP functions, and program custom preset tuning profiles optimised for music, movies, gaming, and more. All accessible with a single touch. Adjust crossover frequencies, a three-band parametric EQ, polarity, room gain and more, all from your favourite seat.

Connect via Bluetooth for convenient control even when subwoofer is out of sight.

Saved custom presets for one-touch tuning with optimised settings based on listening preferences for movies, music, and more. All accessible from a single touch.

Variable port tuning modes with customised frequency response curves for “Standard” and “Sealed” allow tuning for maximum output or deep bass extension and transient speed.

3-band parametric EQ controller allows precise adjustments for boost or cut, Q-factor, and frequency down to the single Hz level with so users can customise performance by eliminating peaks, nulls and other room issues.
